Mission trips
provide young men and women a "hands on" experience serving God in another
culture. To see, hear, smell, touch, and taste what it is like to work with
God´s people anywhere, gives everyone the opportunity for God to shape their
hearts, minds and souls to serve Him.

Members of the Pavon Christian Ministry committee
Mission trips provide the opportunity of
spreading God´s word by simply "shining" for Him. Part of our ministry is
allowing groups to help us with our seasonal VBS programs (spring, summer and
winter). The groups provide crafts, recreation and a lot of smiles. They also
help us by assisting in distributing around 1,000 invitations throughout the
neighborhoods for our VBS programs.
Mission trips also give an opportunity
is helping the ministry thru constructional labor, teaching, cleaning,
preaching, painting, repairing etc. There is always something that needs to be
done on the mission field.

Groups also
bring a lot of encouragement to our staff and families. Being able to laugh and
speak in English, sharing thoughts and ideas, and seeing people who are excited
about making a difference for the Kingdom truly fills our hearts with joy. Yes,
even we get burnt out sometimes and a friendly face from a brother or sister
helps us through our journey.
It is our
goal during a mission trip for all of us to be blessed and we have found that
God has been so faithful in this way. We are all encouraged, challenged,
humbled, strengthened, and renewed in our walk with Him.
